In the beginning – 1999, when his Dad, Pieter Venter launched LFS, Charl was there by his side. From Night Shift tally clerk to Managing Director, Charl has learnt and grown with the business and his insight and experience is invaluable as we cast vision and plot the way forward.
Charl’s time and energy is focussed primarily on overseeing each department’s performance, managing finances and exploring diversification opportunities as we look to expand our business portfolio.
As much as he loves what we do, it is family that makes his heart smile and he’ll find any excuse to sneak away from the office to hang out with his children.

Marcus SulemanSupply Chain Director
Marcus was the first ever staff member appointed by Charl and Piet back in 2004.
Straight out of school, Marcus learnt his trade from the Venter boys and has grown into our very own ‘Man with a Plan’. He comes alive when the pressure is on and solutions need to be found – we back him to do what no-one else can. His role is the integral cog that drives our enterprise, as he manages every step in our supply chain, from the Vessel’s hold to our Customers’ door.
Marcus can never stray too far from the office, which suits him fine because he loves to spend time at home, socializing with friends and family.

Craig DavieCommercial Director
Craig joined the Team in 2015. Before that he spent 20 years in the tyre industry. His knowledge and understanding of the automotive supply chain has brought a real value add to our business and he is our font of knowledge regarding all aspects of the inner workings of the motor industry.
Craig is passionate about systems and protocols and how they can improve our efficiencies. The time and enthusiasm he has poured into refining our operating procedures has greatly benefitted our staff and our Customers.
Craig is addicted to Strava, so when is not in the office, he loves to be outdoors running or riding with his wife and two girls.

Mark StoneSales and Marketing Director
Mark was brought into the company in 2012 to help manage the rapid growth the business was going through at the time. Being an English major and having taught in a number of top schools both locally and abroad, Mark has a unique set of skills which he applies to our interface with our clients and services providers.
The consistent, clear and energetic communication that comes from his department has helped LFS forge deep and long - lasting relationships with its clients.
Mark believes that he could easily win MasterChef, given half a chance. He loves nothing better than cooking for family and friends and entertaining them in his home.

Sandile ZwaneOperations Director
Sandile joined the Team shortly after Marcus in 2006 and the two of them have been a power couple ever since. Working hand in hand, day to day, they have developed into a formidable unit.
Sandile is the heart beat of our organization, it feels to us like he lives in the Port, because no matter what time you phone him, that’s almost always where he’ll be.
Sandile’s roles and responsibilities are focussed in house as he manages our staff and facilities in order to ensure that excellence is a top priority.
Sandile tells us that he does not have time for hobbies and interests but every now and then on a day off he loves to spend quality time with his family.
